DESIGN QUESTION
What if a museum is a factory? the space of the factory is traditionally more or less invisible in public. its visibility is policed, and surveillance produces a one-way gaze. This extreme control over the visibility sits rather uncomfortably alongside the perception of the museum as a public space. What does this invisibility the say about the contemporary museum as a public space?
DESIGN INTENTION
The intervention is amidst and industrial estate ,rethinking the idea of industrial production with cultural production. intention is to break the mundane assembly line routine and have a space to contemplate, express, and meander.
SITE
The site of intervention is a abandoned warehouse in the Somnath industrial estate in Daman , U.T. of Daman , Diu and Dadra nagar haveli. The site sits besides the Dabhel post office and opposite to Somnath Mahadev temple.
